Times are changing and FÓLK Reykjavik was founded to drive positive change.  This article describes FÓLK’s design principles for sustainability and circularity and how they are implemented. 
An interview with one of FÓLK's designers, Theodora Alfredsdottir.  Theodora was nominated as designer of the year at the Formex Nova Design Award in Sweden in 2019 and is teaching at London Metropolitan University. She has designed two lamps for FÓLK.
Supply chain transparency is important in a world full of products. The story behind each and every product is as important as the product itself. We want to improve supply chain transparency through #whomademythings
We are highly committed to making the Earth better through business. Here’s a list of six issues we, at FÓLK Reykjavik, do to support a fairer kind of capitalism and a cleaner and safer environment through our business operations.
The availability of lifestyle products is enormous, but for me it is important to take environmental considerations into account and ensure that the product is taking environmental footprint into consideration. With this approach, I hope that the consumer is more aware of the product, thinking in advance of it as a unique item.
At FÓLK we are highly concerned about environmental issues. That is why we aim to design and manufacture products that enable people to empower their sustainable side of life, and we openly support Goal #12 in UN's Sustainable Development Goals. 

I'm at home with a cup of coffee and a magazine. I look around and realize that most things I have decided to keep and display in my living room have a story behind them. Some of them are gifts from precious friends, others I bought from stores or people whose philosophy matched my own.
