Meet the designers

Designed by the Finnish design duo Our Edition, Anna Pirkola & Joel Sipila have created the perfect versatile clothes rack that can be used in various contexts of small living.

Our Edition is the brainchild of two Helsinki-based Finnish creatives, stylist-blogger Anna Pirkola and designer Joel Sipilä, who focus on functional solutions and minimalist Scandinavian style.

Our Approach to Sustainability

Minimal but strong

The Turnaround Rack is strong and can be used for decades.

The rack is made from 30% recycled steel and can be recycled again at the end of life.

Turnaround rack can stand alone or be combined with FÓLKs Urban Nomad shelfs that have the same material and flexible usage, ideal for urban small space living.

Durable design

The Turnaround Rack is easily mounted on the wall, and even easier to take down and move.

This increases the product's lifetime, the rack can be used in a new context each time it is mounted and moved.

The Turnaround Rack is perfect for the hallway, behind a door, in the entrance or wherever you just need a little bit of extra storage.

The rack is available in four colors, Black, Sand, Rosemary Green and French Blue.

How FÓLK approaches lowering the environmental footprint

At FÓLK we strive to limit and reduce the environmental footprint of our products and we also want to encourage sustainable living through the use of our products.

One of the methods we use is measuring the CO2 footprint of our products. According to the EU, 80% of a product‘s environmental impacts are decided in the design phase.

FÓLK’s principles help decrease the environmental footprint. Typically, the largest contributors of impacts are:

The amount and type of material used
The level of waste of material created in the production phase
The type of energy used in the production phase
The durability of the product and a product‘s lifetime.
The end of life and the opportunity to reuse or recycle the product‘s materials.
