In most modern stone facilities, stone production focuses around interior projects, where large amounts of stone are used for interior and furniture, leaving offcuts from each slab in many cases. This means that in most modern stone production sites, cutoff from stone slabs pile up.
Crafted in Portugal, the Offcut Tray repurposes marble originally left over from the production of tabletops and kitchen islands, turning waste into enduring design.
Both the Offcut tray and its packaging are fully recyclable at the end of their life, supporting a circular economy and ensuring that every stage of the Offcut Tray’s lifecycle aligns with FÓLK’s sustainability values.

Marble is a natural stone and can with the right treatment last for centuries.
This is why it is important for us to provide you with a detailed guide so
that you can care for your Offcut tray and keep it for a long time.
For daily cleaning of a marble tray, we recommend using a damp microfiber cloth, warm water, and, if necessary, either a neutral (pH 7) or mildly alkaline (pH 8-10) detergent. It is best to choose cleaning products specifically designed for natural stone and to avoid acidic cleaners and products containing bleach. This is because marblecontains large amounts of basic calcium and cannot tolerate acidic cleaning agents such as lemon or vinegar.
Maintaining marble is essential, as marble is a porous material with a high capacity to absorb water, which requires great care and protection against dirt and liquids. Avoid allowing chemicals and corrosive substances to come into contact with the marble.
To prevent scratches or spots, consider using a product such as wax or oil to seal the stone.
We recommend Les Fréres Nordin, a wax that should be applied to the surface with a cloth or brush. Allow the wax to sit for 5–10 minutes before wiping off any excess. Once applied, the treated surface should be left to cure for a minimum of three days before coming into contact with food.
