FÓLK's aim is to create designs for modern sustainable living, promote circularity and lower the impact of interior design on the environment. The upcycled revolution is an emerging mega trend at the core of FÓLKs strategy and mission.
A revolution does not happen in solitude. Rather it takes place in a close collaboration between actors in the supply chain. At FÓLK we like to work with suppliers that have developed new circular materials and create designs that can be manufactured with circularity as a goal.
The Upcycled Side Table is designed by designer Jón Helgi Hólmgeirsson. It is composed of geometric forms made of upcycled wool textile boards, recycled steel and FSC certified wood. It can be assembled in a few minutes with only two screws. It is an honour and recognition that Dwell Magazine selected FÓLKs Upcycled Side Table as one of 5 best upcycled products of 2020. Upcycled textile boards are the product of Really CPH's product development from cut-offs from the production of Danish textile company Kvadrat and other textiles. The Upcycled textile boards made by Really CPH are an attempt to reduce the amounts of textiles that end up in landfills each year or are burned and increase the circularity of materials.
FÓLKs Upcycled Side Table is in production and will be in stores in Autumn 2020. See more here.
