We are happy to announce that the Danish Architecture Center has started to sell the Airbag, the circular design innovation by Fletta x FÓLK at their Copenhagen flagship store.
After the Airbags were first introduced in Copenhagen at 3 days of design, they have become the epitome of a circular design, and depicted in leading international design media.
The Airbags are made from leftover materials from the automobile and outdoor industries. In most countries in Europe, around 10% of materials are recycled. It means that 90% of materials are only used once. By identifying waste streams from industries and utilizing them to create aesthetic or fun objects, we can increase the circular economy and decrease relying on virgin materials.
The Airbag is both sold with a filling - as a pillow or cushion, and empty - as a storage for different things in the home. Scan the QR code to see more about the product’s production process and materials.
