Today we celebrate the 90th anniversary of Iceland’s former president Vigdís Finnbogadóttir. She was the first woman in the world to be elected President of a nation. Since her election in 1980 she has inspired and empowered girls and women around the world to be pioneers and role models, including us at FÓLK.
